Heather Grosso, LICSW

Music group offers free lecture on the music industry


On Monday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m., Jared Hancock and Brendan Brady of Surefire Music Group will be offering a free lecture on the music industry and scouting local talent at The Alley Theatre, located on 133 Center St. in Middleboro center.

Save the Date - April 20, 2012



The Friends of the Middleborough Public Library have planned a fundraiser on April 20 when noted humorist Loretta LaRoche comes to Middleborough for a benefit show to be held at the Middleborough High School's Caron Auditorium. Ms. LaRoche has been entertaining audiences across the country with her special brand of humor and irreverent wit for more than 30 years.

This event is a major fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward the new parking lot. Tickets will be on sale soon at the Library. Preferred seating is $40 and general seating is $30. Friends members will receive a $5 discount.

Hanson Children's Museum at the Library


On Tuesday, January 17th at 10:30 AM, the Hanson Children's Museum will bring their Play-And-Learn exhibits "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and "The Native American Experience" to the library. The play-and-learn program is suggested for ages 4 and up, and is an interactive discussion and activity that introduces kids to life in Colonial New England. 

The program includes toys and a craft to take home. If you are unable to make the play-and-learn group, the exhibit will be on display in the library's meeting room from January 17th-January 19th.

The Middleboro-Lakeville Knights of Columbus will host a dinner on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM at the K of C Hall located at 262 West Grove Street.  A fish fry and hamburgers are available on the menu.
