Pot Luck Supper Celebrating the Harvest

Friday, November 9, at 6:00 p.m.

Friends, Neighbors, Kids Welcome!

Come join your church family for food, talk and thought.
Bring your favorite dish for your family and to share with others.
Our theme is "harvest," so let that inspire dishes made from squash, apples, pumpkins and other bounty from your garden or farm stand.

If you are short on time, stop by the store and buy items you can share - salad, roast chicken, ice cream, bread, fruit and cheese.

Please use the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall, or you may RSVP to Andrea Priest at shine.coa.mboro@verizon.net.

After dinner, Michael Rozyne will be sharing his expertise on some of the most provocative issues facing the local food movement right now as "food for thought" and discussion.

Come on down, the coffee is on!

Eva Lipton Benefit

Saturday, November 10, 2012
7:30 - 10:00 p.m.
At the Marshfield Hills Coffee House
North Community Church Parish Hall
83 Old Main Street, Marshfield Hills
Featuring: The Joyful Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir
Adults: $20 donation / Teens: $10 donation

On March 30, 2012 our neighbor, Eva Lipton, and three other Silver Lake High School Juniors were involved in a car crash with a school bus that left Eva with very serious injuries and in a coma. Her condition has remained virtually unchanged for the last seven months. Her mom, Becky, and many other friends and family have been at Eva's side every day since last spring.

The Liptons live about ½ mile from Soule Homestead. I drive by the Lipton house every day on my way to the farm and pray for Eva and her family in my own way. I have made a monetary contribution as well. There are many ways to help people. This event is one.

The Lipton family needs your support. If you are able to attend the November 10th event please enjoy yourself. If you can not attend but would like to help please make your check out to Rebecca Lipton and send it to Frank Albani, Soule Homestead, 46 Soule Street, Middleboro, MA 02346. I will deliver the donations from the Soule Homestead family on Monday, November 12th.
