Tuesday Night Family Story Time Returns to Library

Tuesday night Family Storytimes return on February 4 at 6:30. Miss Robin will start us off on the 4th and will bring in guest storytellers as the month continues.

Our first guest will be Parent's Choice Silver Award winner Diane Edgecomb who will present Join In: Stories & Songs from Around the World on February 11th. Travel around the world with captivating multi-cultural legends. Each tale offers a participatory look at our common love of story. Celebrate engaging narratives, animal characters, songs in different languages and home-spun wisdom as one of New England's favorite storytellers takes us from the heart of the Amazon rainforest to the villages of Africa on the wings of story, rhythm and song.

Diane is a featured storyteller on NPR and is known for transforming into the characters in her tales. Publisher's Weekly called her 'an entire cast rolled into one!' Warm up your hearts and your imaginations with this delightful family event. Recommended for ages 4 and above.
We are pleased to announce that Diane will be returning to us on Saturdays in March and April to lead our Family Adventures in Reading Series. Learn more about this program being offered to the families of Middleborough by Mass Humanities.
On February 18, authors Sandy Leahy and Kathy Tarentino will be in to read their book "The Hibernating House;" share a wooden model of the hibernating house and an activity sheet. Learn about this seasonal house on Martha's Vineyard as it gets cozy to sleep the winter away; awakens to laughter of children on a warm spring day and watches a family as it creates unforgettable memories. Copies of their book will be available for purchase and signing.

  • No deadline - we now accept used, all-occasion greeting cards year round!
  • Only the card front can be used (backside should be free of writing)
  • We can not accept Hallmark, Disney or American Greeting cards
  • 5" x 7" size or smaller is preferred
To Donate Cards:
