Board of Selectmen Seek to Fill Alternate Member on Zoning Board of Appeals

The Town of Middleborough Board of Selectmen is seeking to fill one term as a Third Alternate Member to the Zoning Board of Appeals. This is a voluntary position and the individual will serve without compensation. Letters of interest should be sent to the Town of Middleborough Board of Selectmen, Middleborough Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, MA 02346 or via email to jshanley@middleborough.com no later than Wednesday, December 23, 2015.


Established by state statute, the composition of the Zoning Board of Appeals consists of five regular board members and three alternate members. The board generally meets the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month during the evening at the town hall and is responsible for the issuance of  Special Permits, Comprehensive Permits, Findings and Variances relative to zoning.

An update on Grace Baptist Church in Islamabad, Pakistan, and how the work of Arif and Kathy Khan has continued since their death in 2007. Jeff Smith from Trinity Baptist Church in Montville, NJ, will be our speaker, and dressed in Pakistani attire!

Please bring a pasta topping to share. The Missions Committee will supply the pasta, salad, and dessert.

RSVP to office@fccmiddleboro.org if you plan to attend so we can be sure to have enough pasta and tables. But if you forget, come anyway, with or without toppings -- we always plan for extras.

Community Thanksgiving Dinner


ALL ARE WELCOME COMMUNITY RESTAURANT, (AAW), a non-profit community restaurant located at 60 Union Street, Middleboro, will be serving a family style Thanksgiving Day dinner on Thursday, November 26 at 1PM.

The Thanksgiving meal will include appetizers, a complete turkey dinner with the traditional sides, dessert and (non-alcoholic) beverages.

Reservations for this meal are strongly encouraged. Anyone interested in attending can call All Are Welcome at 774-419-3982 or email manager@allarewelcome.us. As with all of the meals served at AAW, those who are able are encouraged to donate what they can for their meal.
Volunteers for this meal are also needed. Those interested in setting up, serving, or assisting in clean up should call or email. Volunteers are also invited and encouraged to join us for dinner.
Thanksgiving dinner will be served at our regular location – 60 Union Street, Middleboro, MA 02346 at 1PM. Those who have never shared a meal at AAW are encouraged to join us for our weekly meals, Thursday lunch served from 11AM – 2PM and Saturday breakfast from 7:30AM – 11AM.
