Feasting with Recipes Then and Now

Join Creative Feast chef Liz Barbour as she takes a journey back to the early 1700s and discusses the workings of the colonial kitchen and the ingredients available. Watch as Liz demonstrates a few recipes with historic roots that she has adapted for today's shopping and palate. Enjoy a cooking demonstration of two delicious recipes from locally sourced ingredients and samples!

Registration is required and must be completed by Wed., Sept. 28 at 8:00 p.m. Call 508-946-2470 or email Libby Fox at lfox@sailsinc.org.

Barbour has been cooking professionally in the Boston area since 1992 and started "Liz Barbour's Creative Feast" in 2004. Her cooking demonstrations and recipes have been featured on "New Hampshire Chronicle" and in various publications including "New Hampshire Magazine." Liz is an avid home gardener and often uses her own fresh herbs and edible flowers in her cooking demos. Her relaxed and humorous attitudes toward food demystify the cooking process. Sit back and watch while she prepares and presents exciting dishes for you and your friends to enjoy, while focusing on basic cooking techniques, knife skills, healthy ingredient combinations, and the use of herbs and spices to enhance flavors.

Thanks to the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library for sponsoring this event.
